Presented by Tudor Group, the annual dinner was hosted by NBC Sports personality, Bob Costas, and featured a live performance by classic rock band, Chicago. In addition to raising awareness for treating spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries, the night also honored a myriad of sports icons, including; David Ortiz, Simone Biles, Alonzo Mourning, Jason Taylor, Scott Dixon, Kim Clijsters, and Abby Wambach.

REV TAKES PART IN THE EVENING’S FUNDRAISER

An extension of REV’s own promise to support communities across the nation and around the world, REV Group’s Mobility division donated a brand-new wheelchair accessible van, the Chrysler Pacifica, during the event’s fundraiser. Event attendees were able to view the mobility van up close while it was on display on the third floor of the Midtown hotel.

In addition to the generous donations coming in throughout the evening, the Great Sports Legends Dinner also featured the unveiling of REV’s newest, and most comprehensive Mobility Brand, Revability. The official announcement was made by The Buoniconti Fund President, Marc Buoniconti himself, and was followed by a brief video highlighting the occasion.

REVABILITY WHEELCHAIR VANS

A fusion of long-time REV ElDorado Mobility and recently acquired AutoAbility brands, Revability “… highlights the best aspects of both brands, and reflects our vision for the future,” according to John Walsh, REV Bus and Mobility Group President. He goes on to say that, “Revability will bring a renewed focus on product innovation and building a strong market presence.”

Backed by REV’s resources and expertise – Revability – led by Vice President and General Manager, Chuck Fortinberry, brings a strong management team, unparalleled customer service, and an innovative brand equipped to garner great market success.

Revability will have the most comprehensive lineup of wheelchair accessible vehicles, and will focus on three key attributes that we believe reflect the needs of our customers most. Those attributes are: innovation, reliability, and freedom.

Revability brand highlights:

Rear and side-entry vans available in manual and powered rear-entry access

Long or short-cut floorplans

Crash-tested and meet FMVSS and CMVSS safety standards

All commercial offerings are ADA compliant

Numerous up-fitted chassis types are available, including: Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge Grand Caravan, Toyota Sienna, and Dodge Ram ProMaster

SUPPORT COMES FIRST FOR NEW REVABILITY BRAND

In addition to the night’s donation of a Revability van to the family of a boy in a wheelchair, REV Group also promised to make a $100 donation to The Buoniconti Fund for every mobility van sold through the Revability campaign in 2018 – up to $50,000 in the first year.

As momentous as the ElDorado Mobility and AutoAbility merger is, Walsh conveyed that, “We are equally excited to be working with The Buoniconti Fund and increasing our commitment to the “Ability Community.””
