ELDORADO NATIONAL-CALIFORNIA RECEIVES AWARD OF CONTRACT RECOMMENDATION
In late June, ElDorado National-California (“ENC”) learned that the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority board of directors approved the recommendation for award of contract to ENC to supply 295 40-foot CNG powered transit buses. There is a provision for an additional 305 buses or 600 buses in total over a five-year period. Along with related optional vehicle features, spare parts and product training, this contract award represents more than $400 million in revenue over the contract life. Work will commence once certain administrative matters pertaining to a competitor’s challenge have been resolved.
“We are very pleased and excited about this award and the opportunity to provide Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority with the best buses for the value,” said Tony Wayne, President of ElDorado-National California. “ENC won the bid based on addressing all of the contract requirements and delivering the best overall value considering all evaluation factors. Located in Riverside, California – ENC and our employees are proud to have been chosen to meet and exceed the expectations of the County.”
